About 40 years ago I had a job where I walked to work thru a residential neighborhood. I’d walked the route for a couple years. I usually walk briskly but one day I had new shoes and felt one of my heels rubbing so I slowed down well below my normal pace. The last few 100 yds I would walk past a 2-storey brick building being rehabbed. I reached the corner of the block it was on. For no reason, I stopped. I looked up, and the whole side of the building fell on where I’d have been walking.
I plaster my stuff everywhere I can online, sometimes I even mention it at work when I'm called out.
I low-key crave for appreciation and attention even if I never state it directly.
And when I actually get it, I feel like the Coyote catching the Road Runner.
God effin' dammit, brain. Make up your mind.
Pinball Dreams: frighteningly accurate
When I went to Arcade Club for the RLLMUK anniversary meet last year, I spent a little time on pinball machines, completely failing to get the ball anywhere I wanted - and when I did, I was never quite sure if I was meant to get there anyway. Pinball machines can be very confusing in terms of which routes you should be hitting and how to gain the jackpot.
I'm clearly still learning my X100vi. I went for a walk today and got all sorts of really disappointing results. Then I took a few really soft pictures of my kids.
I was like, why was that well-lit scene photographed at 8000 ISO? Then I figured it out. I forgot to turn off the internal ND filter.

I realised I have a tendency to buy the books I like over and over because e-book are not the same as pocket-book or audiobook or a hardback. If the author wrote in English, I will probably want the book in both my native Swedish and English for comparison.
Yes, I admit! I am a book-hoarder.
How many copies have you bought of your favourite book?

I didn’t notice the Red-shouldered hawk in the frame when I took the shot. I was too busy futzing with my new lens. Pleasant surprise when I got home. I should have stopped down a bit more.
