The Mojave Desert is home to iconic Joshua trees threatened by climate change. Most desert plants form mutually beneficial partnerships with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), yet the AMF of the Eastern Joshua tree (Yucca jaegeriana) remain completely uncharacterized.
