Remember NFTs?
Looks like not even their creators remember them.

This song popped into my head today. I got it on 45 a zillion years ago from the back of Factsheet 5 if I am remembering correctly. I don't remembering it having quite that guitar solo though. Must be a new version? youtube.com/watch?v=zyyNBet4VRk

Every time you see a news article mention AI in conjunction with news of layoffs or a bad hiring market, remember: that’s less than 5% of jobs cut, at least according to that report.
Ask the reporter why they’re not blaming fascists instead, because…well, I’ll bet you’ve got more data on your side than they do.

I remember a friend who worked at a company that made a popular browser, and complained that I didn't have any "skin in the game" when I constantly complained about the browser the company was building.
Great guy, but I could not accept "be quiet, you are not part of this" when I am a browser user, web user, former-web developer (1995-2010) and just a person who gives a shit about privacy, security, and enshittification in general.

I was quite interested in the new atheism movement ~20y ago. I recently remembered something: It surprised me that many of its prominent figures who otherwise would jump on every opportunity to criticize religion (often rightfully so) weren't particularly keen on highlighting the sexual abuse cases in the catholic church.
I guess that observation becomes a lot more interesting knowing that many of the prominent new atheism figures were friends of Jeffrey Epstein.

Remember what federal LEOs are normally screened for (CARLA F. BAD):
Character
Associates
Reputation
Loyalty
Ability
Finances
Bias
Alcohol/Addictions
Drugs
ICE is not being vetted against any of these.
Shut it down.

Remember Firefox OS? Of course you don't.
Well, they tried to do "for mobile what we did for the web" and utterly failed—while neglecting their core product.
Now they’re all in on “doing for AI what we did for the web”.
