My take on the trend toward 90 credit Bachelor degrees in US higher education, and a few thoughts about the benefits and drawbacks, and about the compromise solution of the Distance Education Accrediting Commission for 3-year programs.
This started out as my response to DEAC's request for comments on their proposal, and I realized I was three fourths of the way to a short essay, so I went ahead and finished it.

I have taken to looking for Copilot AI in GitHub responses before filing issues. If it’s there, I don’t file. Feeling a bit validated here:

Attached: 2 images Sent a pull request to Audacity fixing a crash bug I'd been running into frequently. The cause was an out-of-bounds memmove. Classic C++ areas. Anyway I got a fucking copilot review on my PR which left two comments, both completely wrong, one of which suggesting I reintroduce the out of bounds memory access. I'm furious!

Reddit sues Anthropic, accusing the AI company of illegally scraping data from its site
Social media platform Reddit has sued the artificial intelligence company Anthropic, alleging that it is illegally “scraping” the comments of Reddit users to train its chatbot Claude. Reddit claims that Anthropic has used automated bots to access Reddit’s content despite being asked not to do so. Anthropic didn’t immediately return a request for comment Wednesday.
