If you are an academic, particularly one in the US, let me know what sort of prevailing norms on guest lecturing there might be.

I'm sort of addicted to these YouTube channels sharing stories about really bad bosses and toxic companies and it's strange because I get really riled up listening to these stories? It's not healthy subjecting oneself to negative emotions but I can't help it? 🤪

I love how many people that believe in “overpopulation” think 'we' can somehow impose dystopian one-child policies over the entire world through some sort of world government, instead of just fixing this system of overconsumption and waste.

There is nothing inherently wrong with expressing emotion, but we shouldn't pretend that it helps with any sort of problem solving.
Writing "eww, ick, yuck, creepy, gross, disgusting" doesn't help anyone. It doesn't contribute to quality constructive policy making.

It continues to lie that I haven't set the alias even after deleting from user_profile, and apparently there is some sort of rate-limit I've hit and dunno how to clear too.

Presumably nobody here knows how to clear that cache or check if the alias is right or reset that rate-limit.
So I guess I'll have to wait at least 1 day 20 minutes before I can even try again.
