Just registered for this, it's tonight, Jim and Dennis of The Smithereens will be talking about their debut record Especially for You at the 'Tuesday Night Record Club' that the Springsteen Archives does via Monmouth University in New Jersey. It's free and there's an in person and Zoom option (I obviously grabbed a Zoom ticket). I've talked here before about how much I love this record - this'll be cool to hear.

Neter@s,I've got a Masters student in American history who would like to publish original research on Protestant-Catholic tensions in the American southwest in the decades following the Mexican American War. He is having a hard time locating a journal that publishes grad student work (where the author does not need to be a student at the host university for the press). Increased aerobic fitness in adolescent athletes is linked to poorly understood abnormal cardiovascular changes
Adolescent athletes' cardiovascular system may adapt to increased cardiorespiratory fitness by increasing blood pressure, arterial stiffness and heart growth, a new study shows. The study was conducted in collaboration between the Technical University of Munich and the University of Eastern Finland, and the results were published in the American Journal of Physiology-Heart and Circulatory Physiology.
