Non-algebraicity of foliations via reduction modulo $2$
Motivated by the Jouanolou foliation problem, we investigate the non-algebraicity of foliations by curves on $\mathbb{P}^2_{\mathbb{C}}$. We present a criterion to show that such a foliation has no algebraic invariant curves, using a method of reduction modulo $2$. Finally, using this criterion, we give a new proof that the Jouanolou foliation of odd degree has no algebraic invariant curves. We also present other classes of foliations without algebraic invariant curves.

We present the discovery of three sub-Neptune planets around TOI-1117, a Sun-like star with mass $0.97\pm0.02M_{\odot}$, radius $1.05\pm0.03R_{\odot}$, age $4.42\pm1.50$ Gyr and effective temperature $5635\pm62$ K. Light curves from TESS and LCOGT show a transiting sub-Neptune with a $2.23$ day period, mass $M_b=8.90_{-0.96}^{+0.95}M_{\oplus}$ and radius $R_b=2.46_{-0.12}^{+0.13}R_{\oplus}$. Egyptian fractions for few primes
We study solutions to the Egyptian fractions equation with the prime factors of the denominators constrained to lie in a fixed set of primes. We evaluate the effectiveness of the greedy algorithm in establishing bounds on such solutions. Additionally, we present improved algorithms for generating low-rank solutions and solutions restricted to specific prime sets. Computational results obtained using these algorithms are provided, alongside a discussion on their performance.

Multiple Watchman Routes in Staircase Polygons
We consider the watchman route problem for multiple watchmen in staircase polygons, which are rectilinear $x$- and $y$-monotone polygons. For two watchmen, we propose an algorithm to find an optimal solution that takes quadratic time, improving on the cubic time of a trivial solution. For $m \geq 3$ watchmen, we explain where this approach fails, and present an approximation algorithm for the min-max criterion with only an additive error.
