Have made these kinds of commands with Puppet Resource layer - but just “require ‘puppet’” can take a second let alone all the other startup costs.
Seeing the same pattern but very fast is a whole different experience. Long way to go but feeling pretty good.
(First slow run is of course yum update)

If I have the current state of a LFSR and the polynomial, is there an easy way to rapidly run it an enormous number of iterations (e.g. millions) into the future without calculating every intermediate state?

It's alive! OpenOCD release doesn't support the STM32MP2 and apparently ST's fork doesn't either??
But latest upstream git head works fine.
Now to try and poke an LED or something to make sure it's responsive.

Well, I've root caused my PCIe issues.
And now I have a nice pretty warning message to detect when I screw up the same way in the future.
Now to open up the RISAF5 configuration so I can actually get stuff done.

Training weekend ended early due to external factors beyond our control. Was fun while it lasted.
But that means I'm home tonight instead of under a tarp, which means I can get back to refactoring the STM32MP2 PCIe driver to make it slightly less full of hard coded pointers and magic numbers.

Adult-shaped beings of fedi: when was the last time you cleaned your refrigerator?
For the purposes of this poll "clean" is defined as discarding any expired or obviously inedible foodstuffs and applying soapy water, wipes, or some sort of similar cleaning product to a nontrivial fraction of the shelf and drawer surfaces.
