@… I agree that LLMs accelerated problematic developments that were already underway. It’s not surprising that they were picked up eagerly by those trying to game the flawed system.
Of course, “the AI” isn’t at fault, but those who sell and use it. But again, if it were as capable as it supposedly is, shouldn’t even the mediocre scientists now produce great research?
