For those who haven't seen it:

In Deutschland sind inzwischen schon 2 Rechenzentren in Bau, die jeweils ein halbes Gigawatt an Leistung verbrennen. Das ist etwa so viel, wie ein einziges Großkraftwerk erzeugt.
Und es geht noch größer. Google plant in den USA bereits ein RZ, dass dreimal so viel Strom verbraucht. Und das quasi permanent. Tag und Nacht.
Der Wahnsinn scheint kaum noch Grenzen zu kennen.
Wer jetzt gegenhält, dass durch KI auch viel Strom gespart werden könnte, liefert bitte Beweise mit.

@… I agree, but I’d also be ready to bet $100 the democracts would never do such a thing because it’s “against political norms” or some similar argument. Which is like… the whole problem with the party, they seem not to know which game it is we’re playing.
