A good counter-explanation from @…, although it’s not entirely consistent with the data: if this were merely aging vehicles, we’d expect to see a slow, steady decline. But we don’t; we see a •very• sharp turnaround that coincides precisely with Musk’s fascism entering full public view, and not with any sort of sudden aging event in the vehicles.
But yes, surely normal depreciation is a contributing factor as well.

The Klamath has long been my favorite river in California (and a bit of Oregon.)
A week ago I was at the mouth of the Klamath in Redwood National Park/Prairie Creek State park.
I'm glad the Coho salmon are returning to the Klamath so quickly (of all the varieties of salmon, Coho is my favorite. The creek behind my house once supported Coho, but they are essentially gone, although there are occasional reports.)

Another day in history... another invading force from the USA. Those pesky Fenians were back on this day in 1866, and this time, the 1,800 Irish-Americans riders were repelled back to the United States after they looted and plundered around Saint-Armand and Frelighsburg, Quebec. Although the Fenian raids were unsuccessful, they did encourage the Canadian provinces to band together for defense, leading to our Confederation as a country.
