When the family calls me a tankie, I just drop Rudolf Rocker’s black-and-red flag and remind them: Rocker spent his life critiquing both state capitalism and authoritarian socialism, he literally wrote book's on why real liberation means smashing all forms of state power, not trading one boss for another.
Anarcho-syndicalism: Theory and Practice

A diagonally divided red and black anarchist flag with a centered circular portrait of Rudolf Rocker, symbolizing the unity of anarcho-syndicalist and anarcho-communist ideals.

The red represents the historic socialist roots and blood of struggle, while the black signifies anarchism’s negation of state power and mourning for lost liberty.

If my bio didn’t make it obvious, I’m an anarcho-syndicalist who’s bisexual, gender-fluid, and autistic!

"The term anarcho-syndicalism first appeared as a derogatory commentary and an insult against certain working-class militants in the nineteenth century. It was often used to refer as a whole to the trade-union activities of individuals and groups who defined themselves as anarchists."

I wish my family could see how much I care about anarchism, syndicalism, and especially anarcho-syndicalism, and how serious I am about building a different kind of world.
They still hold on to the image of me as someone who just spends all day gaming, like that’s all I ever was. But people change, grow, and find new paths.
If they can’t accept that, then they don’t really know who I am now, and it’s painful to realize that the people closest to me can’t see the person I’ve beco…

Anarcho-syndicalism is really cool, and Rudolf Rocker is a big part of that for me.
He spent years lecturing about it at the Jubilee Street Club in the East End, and his book is one of my absolute favorites, that I always keep close by at home.
I wish I had a better picture, but hey, this one’s what you get!

Honestly, I want to be remembered as an anarcho-syndicalist who really cared about building solidarity and living a simpler, more meaningful life.
Not just some random three-year-old autistic gamer who spends way too many hours glued to the same video game.
Like, there’s more to me than that, you know?

Rudolf Rocker (1873–1958) was a prominent German anarchist writer and activist, best known for his advocacy of anarcho-syndicalism.
Rocker argued that genuine liberation cannot be achieved through authoritarian systems or centralized state power.
Rocker was deeply critical of the Bolshevik regime in Russia, viewing it as a betrayal of the ideals of freedom and workers’ self-management.
He believed that the Bolsheviks simply replaced one form of oppression with another, demo…
