We associate to a semisimple complex Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ a sequence of polynomials $P_{\ell,\mathfrak{g}}(x)\in\mathbb{Q}[x]$ in $r$ variables, where $r$ is the rank of $\mathfrak{g}$ and $\ell=0,1,2,\ldots $. The polynomials $P_{\ell,\mathfrak{g}}(x)$ are uniquely associated to the isomorphism class of $\mathfrak{g}$, up to re-numbering the variables, and are defined as special values of a variant of Witten's zeta function. The excess in $t\to b\overline{b}c$ observed by ATLAS points towards a charged Higgs boson with a mass around 130$\,$GeV, consistent with the expectations from the $B$ anomalies, i.e.$~R_{D^{(*)}}$ and $b\to s\ell^+\ell^-$ data. In this paper we highlight a few open problems concerning maximal sum-free sets in abelian groups. In addition, for most even order abelian groups $G$ we asymptotically determine the number of maximal distinct sum-free subsets in $G$. Our proof makes use of the container method.
