At least one billionaire is continuing to embrace science & contribute to societal gains in vaccines.

Even if it's outside of the US.

The instant collaboration of corporate media with a fascist dictator shows that corporate media are the enemy of the people.
And now Trump’s billionaire oligarchs are ensuring that the media is fully consolidated into their hands. Murdoch, Ellison, Zuckerberg, Disney, and Musk own most of the traditional and social media. Total control is at hand if we don’t stop it.

See how the game works?
Republicans have long instinctively understood, far better than their oft-bumbling opponents,
that capturing the language is crucially important.
When you do that, when you frame the terms of debate,
you have a darn good shot at winning hearts and minds. Particularly weak minds.
I’ll leave it to the shrinks to diagnose the passivity of the Democratic mindset,
to try to fathom why the blue party has long allowed "class warfare&qu…

While this is completely anecdotal, I always imagined that this is what being a billionaire or CEO is like. Everyone kisses your ass, tells you that you're brilliant, are afraid to critique or correct you.. and you basically lose touch with reality. You start thinking you are some kind of superior person when in reality you're a dumbass just like the rest of us - you just happen to have more money/power.

We need to reclaim the tradition of imposing taxes on the rich to cover the costs of war. It’s why we got the income tax in the first place.

War is a mechanism that concentrates wealth at the top. If that is not countered with policy, it suggests that part of the purpose of the war is that concentration.
(see the past 25 years as an example)

Its clear that Trump is effectively if not literally a Russian agent hell bent on destroying the USA...
"As president of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO Chrissy Lynch said in July after the Republicans passed the budget reconciliation bill cutting clean energy tax credits: “Working families shouldn’t have to purchase energy from billionaire oil tycoons and foreign governments or let them set the price of our energy bills.”
Her observation hit home earlier this week, when Joe Wallace, Costas Paris, Alex Leary, and Collin Eaton of the Wall Street Journal reported that the comments of Russian president Vladimir Putin and Trump at their meeting in Alaska on August 15 in which they talked about doing more business together were not vague goodwill. ExxonMobil and Russia’s biggest energy company, Rosneft, have been in secret talks to resume a partnership to extract Russian oil, including in the Arctic, that had been severed by Russia’s attack on Ukraine in 2022."

The mobilizations, spearheaded by the "Mayday Strong Coalition" of national, state, and local labor and community organizations,

that is suppressing the labor movement,
attacking workers' rights,
and burdening families across the country…

BREAKING: New Mike Lee Amendment to sell off public lands has been approved to be part of Trump's Big Beautiful Mess.
Senators like Steve Daines will be voting on this bill at any moment and we need to let them know loud and clear that we strongly oppose the sale of ANY of our public lands.
This land belongs to us, and greedy billionaire developers can't have it.
