FWIW, it's pretty clear that the abuse of immigrants in the US and the abuse of Palestinians in Gaza/West Bank are copied elsewhere. I grew up (60's/70's) believing that these acts were wrong, and that the world had sort of learned it's lessons from WW2 horrors. It's distressing to realize how much I was taught in school was just plain wrong.
