I wonder how feasible it would be to make a wearable version of something like this for the back of your bike or a backpack...
Maybe just the "Your Speed" part of it (or the "Speed Limit" could be done digitally).
Imagine passing someone on a bike and they show you the actual speed limit along with your speed.
Crazy idea or not? Possible? (I think so.)

I'm right chuffed! Even just after watering it, and having the door open for a while, our greenhouse is between 25-40 degrees C, in the last week of winter. We've already got a bunch of seedlings coming up. I think it's going to be a good summer for veggies in our household. Now if I can just find a good spot to plant that Avocado tree... 🤔

We study the problem of efficiency under $α$ local differential privacy ($α$ LDP) in both discrete and continuous settings. Building on a factorization lemma, which shows that any privacy mechanism can be decomposed into an extremal mechanism followed by additional randomization, we reduce the Fisher information maximization problem to a search over extremal mechanisms. Another win for the Ortlieb panniers. This 8"x8"x8" box is one of the things I thought might be difficult to bring to work via bike but one box just fits.
It's rare I need to transport two boxes this size but worse case I've still got the rack and could zip tie the crate onto it again.
(The other pannier holds my backpack.)
