Your backup strategy should include chunking your important but perhaps not sensitive data into encrypted blobs and uploading them to a private GitHub repo. At least push your configs there.

We have (not entirely by plan) a Barnevelder chick that had a difficult hatch and came out with splay leg and spent several days in a cup before experimentally transitioning to the brooder. It's trying, and it's slowly improving, but it's SO small that none of my usual chicken interventions are feasible. I can't gavage it, that's for damn sure. Syringe-feeding protein slurry blobs for it to peck off the nozzle is risky, but it's too unstable to peck at a feeder normal…
