How stupid. How stupid is it?
And we're not fixing our tunnels, our bridges, our hospitals, our schools?

Iranians gathering on country’s bridges, near power plants which US has threatened to bomb
https://news.am/eng/news/941783.html
Potus issued what he called a “final” ultimatum to Tehran, who killed thousands of its own people earlier this year for protesting, to reopen the strait and agree to Washington’s terms or face attacks against Iran’s civilian infrastructure, including bridges and power plants.
They killed thousands of their own, not sure leaving their own in the dark with a longer commute is gonna move the needle there, Nostra-Dumbass.
I watched the whole Trump press conference today... it was long and boring, but also confirmation Trump has mental problems, is not well, narcistic and evil.
Compliments to the New York Times for asking a critical question during the Trump press conference about bombing powerplants and bridges in Iran.

How did the Urban Network Flow Adapt to the Collapse of the Carola Bridge?

Abstract: The unexpected collapse of the Carola Bridge in Dresden, Germany, provides a rare opportunity to characterise how urban network traffic adapts to an unexpected infrastructure disruption. This study develops a data-driven analytical framework using traffic data from the Dresden traffic management system to assess the short-term impacts of the disruption. By combining statistical comparisons of pre- and post-collapse motorised traffic distributions, peak-hour shifts, and Park-and-Ride data analyses, the framework reveals how traffic dynamics and traveller choices adjust under infrastructure disruption. Results reveal that the two closest bridges, the Albert and Marien Bridges, absorb the majority of the diverted motorised traffic. In particular, the daily traffic volume on the Albert bridge increases by up to 81%, which is equivalent to 3.5 hours of traffic operating with maximum flow. Peak hours on critical links are significantly prolonged, reaching up to 250 minutes. Besides redistribution, the overall daily motorised traffic crossing the Elbe river declines by approximately 8,000 vehicles, while Park-and-Ride usage increases by up to 188%, suggesting a potential travel mode shift after the disruption. The study reveals the patterns of traffic redistribution following an unexpected disruption and provides insights for resilience planning and emergency traffic management.

Abstract: Integrating theoretical neuroscience, decision theory, and probabilistic inference offers a promising route to understanding human cognition, yet concrete methodological bridges between agentic AI models and behavioral data analysis remain formally underdeveloped. We advance this synthesis under the framework of agentic behavioral modeling (ABM), which treats artificial agents as latent, generative hypotheses about cognitive mechanisms and evaluates them by their statistical adequacy in explaining human behavior. After outlining its conceptual foundations, we apply the framework to two minimal laboratory paradigms: a binary perceptual contrast-discrimination task and a symmetric two-armed bandit learning task. We formalize each task-agent-data system as a joint probability model, derive explicit conditional log-likelihoods for behavioral inference, validate different model variants using model and parameter recovery simulations, and evaluate them in light of empirical data. Using these minimal examples, we provide an agent-centric interpretation of the psychometric function, derive optimal policies for both tasks, and show the equivalence between Rescorla-Wagner learning and Bayesian inference in symmetric bandits. More broadly, this work may serve as a conceptual and practical foundation for applying ABM to cognitive behavioral science.

A rail bridge in the central Iranian city of Kashan was one of the first reported bombed on Tuesday as Israel said it had launched “a wide-scale wave of strikes targeting dozens of infrastructure sites”. A bridge over a railway line near Karaj, to the north-west of Tehran, was hit, according to Iranian media, and power outages were reported in the same city after a substation and transmission lines were bombed. Bridges near Qom and Tabriz were also reportedly hit.

PIME: Prototype-based Interpretable MCTS-Enhanced Brain Network Analysis for Disorder Diagnosis

Abstract: Recent deep learning methods for fMRI-based diagnosis have achieved promising accuracy by modeling functional connectivity networks. However, standard approaches often struggle with noisy interactions, and conventional post-hoc attribution methods may lack reliability, potentially highlighting dataset-specific artifacts. To address these challenges, we introduce PIME, an interpretable framework that bridges intrinsic interpretability with minimal-sufficient subgraph optimization by integrating prototype-based classification and consistency training with structural perturbations during learning. This encourages a structured latent space and enables Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS) under a prototype-consistent objective to extract compact minimal-sufficient explanatory subgraphs post-training. Experiments on three benchmark fMRI datasets demonstrate that PIME achieves state-of-the-art performance. Furthermore, by constraining the search space via learned prototypes, PIME identifies critical brain regions that are consistent with established neuroimaging findings. Stability analysis shows 90% reproducibility and consistent explanations across atlases.
