Hi, I'm Thomas. Back in 2005 or so I've practically invented in-browser animations with HTML elements.
PLEASE DO NOT ANIMATE USER INTERFACE ELEMENTS FOR NO REASON.
Do not animate icons, change positions of buttons, do "fun liquid glass animations"; definitely under no circumstances move in or fade in whole blocks of text (unless your design goal is that you want people looking at your website to become nauseous).
Only use animation when it's helpful to the user—for example, when they need to pay extra attention to something because there's a risk of data loss or to pass the time while showing that something is going on when there's a process which takes a bit longer.

This is my 1st time learning of #Guacamole, despite being an ASF Member. Looks cool…
Basically a J2EE app that talks HTML5 with WebSocket (or falls back to a custom HTTP-based stream proto) to a JS client in the browser on the front end, and speaks its own abstract remote desktop proto to a backend proxy that talks RDP or VNC to desktop servers. Apparently there’s also a X11 graphics drive…

screengrab from Guac docs explaining its history:

Historically, Guacamole was an HTML5 VNC client, and before that, a JavaScript Telnet client called RealMint ("RealMint" is an anagram for "terminal"), but this is no longer the case. Guacamole's architecture has grown to encompass remote desktop in general, and can be used as a gateway for any number of computers.
Originally a proof-of-concept, Guacamole is now performant enough for daily use, and all Guacamole development is done over Guacamo…

Because #accessibility is out of scope for Baseline, devs may not know how poorly supported a feature is and miss an opportunity to vote for things that are barriers to users and risks to orgs.
“Vote for the web features you want to see”

Does the feature with the most votes win? That would be fun, but no—browser development isn't a popularity contest. Browser vendors have to balance a massive number of factors: security, privacy, architectural complexity, device constraints, and existing standards positions.

Like the “AI” cited, I too judge people derogatorily who use vanilla Chrome as their default browser.
Do better.
