Although I switched to LibreWolf for my primary browser every now and then I get some weird thing where a web site does not work right, and using Firefox solves the issues.
I really prefer LibreWolf since it strips out so much of the crap in Firefox, but I just need to remember that sometimes it does not work.

But I would certainly never use a Chromium-based browser. Maybe Gecko is more vulnerable in high-risk scenarios like espionage or dissident activities in repressive states like Russia, China, or now the U.S., etc.—I don’t know—but for the average user, there’s certainly no increased risk.

Ditch Chrome. Ditch it yesterday. It’s already 50% hostile surveillance machine, but that’s soon going to be 100%.
Vivaldi is a fine near-drop-in replacement if you want maximum compatibility. It’s what I use for G-Suite stuff whenever I have to use it.
Waterfox is a Firefox fork that strips out the AI nonsense features. I’ve been happy with it.
Firefox itself has problematic leadership these days, but is still better than Chrome.
Safari on Mac (my daily driver) is a lovely browser, lean and blazing fast compared to Chrome, and great privacy features — though it’s still Big Tech if that’s a problem for you.
In short, you have choices!

So... not many people will be surprised, #Google has done it again, it has crossed a big red line this time.
They already made it so that using their "share" feature from Chrome browser in Android would introduce their own tracking link, betraying unsuspecting users. That in itself was infuriating, but at least we had an escape hatch, we could copy the web page URL and share that directly.... until now.
It is no longer possible to copy URLs from the browser's URL bar (in Android systems). They have reached an entire new level of perversity and anti-user behaviour.
At this rate, they will manage to kill the #www for good at some point, something else will have to emerge.
