Korte tijd nadat de demonstratie op het Malieveld en op de A12 uit de hand is gelopen plaatst Els een paar berichten op X. ‘Ik ging ervan uit dat mensen vreedzaam kwamen demonstreren, helaas is dit door welke reden dan ook heel anders gelopen. Ik betreur dat het zo gelopen is. Als ik dit van tevoren had geweten, had ik dit nooit georganiseerd.’
Kort daarna retweet Els een bericht van iemand die naar de demonstratie was gekomen. Diegene schrijft: ‘Het is antifa. Ik zat naast ze in de trein, dit was hun plan, zich mengen tussen ons en onrust stoken en de A12 bezetten. We worden geframed!’ Ook deelt Els een bericht van Facebook waarin een groep die ‘Antifa Nederland’ heet schrijft dat antifascisten zich ‘vermomd’ in de demonstratie zouden hebben gevoegd. ‘Dit is echt WALGELIJK’, schrijft Els bij het bericht.
