After the latest snowfall it will be interesting to see how bad the walking to/from the bus stops is tomorrow and how messed up the schedules will be.
They like to plow the roads, but forget to clear the bus stops plus the sidewalks and while I am able-bodied it is a challenge to clamber over knee to hip high snow to get on/off the bus. I don't know how those who are handicapped get around.

TransLink is improving safety and comfort with new solar-powered lights at bus stops.
The project will test lights at 14 locations where customers or staff have identified a need for improved lighting. The initiative will improve visibility for both Bus Operators and waiting passengers.
There's a survey about improving the 22 route on Fillmore, between Fillmore/Pine and Church/Duboce. Looks like mostly a good project but envisions moving bus stops farther apart, which Muni sometimes does excessively. No bus lanes or bus gates included.

Riding the 2- Sutter to the Ferry Building, I had a chance to observe the efficient use of street space with SFMTA 's bus/right turn/short term parking/loading & delivery parking all in one.
Doesn't really help transit times, though.
And consolidating stops won't shift the needle as much as stopping the abuses of the transit lanes.
