Why is shader optimization so addictive? I have other things to do...
But it's 2AM, I'm thoroughly caffeinated, and staring at the Radeon GPU profiler reordering SSBO memory transactions for improved coalescing.
And successfully shaved about 1.7 ms off the first shader in the PAM4 edge detector (4.71 -> 2.98 ms, a 58% speedup). The overall filter went from 11.22 to 8.8 ms, a 27.5% speedup.
There's definitely still more room to tune, too.

But the market doesn't want to invest in housing in Deep East Oakland. Even though it's needed, it's not profitable. We need social housing everywhere! Housing is too important a need to be left to the market!

Ten networks of protein-protein interactions in Caenorhabditis elegans (nematode), from yeast two-hybrid experiments, biological process maps, literature curation, orthologous interactions, and genetic interactions. The WI8 network combines WI2004, WI2007 and BPmaps, while the Integrated Network combines data from all sources.
This network has 2528 nodes and 3864 edges.
