Yeah, listening to RNZ - this person talking about the Ōtautahi Stadium (which will compete with the brand new, already under-utilised Convention Centre) is clearly willfully deluded in her claims about future usage. This stadium is a massive subsidy of the wealthy by the poorer majority (many of whom will never be able to afford to participate in stadium events). Such an utter crock of shit. More here:

We investigate the effect of cutting-edge circumbinary disk (CBD) evolution models on massive black hole binary (MBHB) populations and the gravitational wave background (GWB). We show that CBD-driven evolution leaves a tell-tale signature in MBHB populations, by driving binaries towards an equilibrium eccentricity that depends on binary mass ratio.
