SatoshiDice was an early betting game, just betting on random numbers from the hash nonce.
7 years ago Mandleduck made saru tobi, an iOS game with bitcoin rewards which was initially accepted but the decision reverted by apple. 1 cent transactions on chain was never going to scale anyway.
Collectable gaming cards on chain were a fashion for a while.
The early things failed in 2018 when transaction fees spiked, and fees became more than gaming rewards could be. Most games moved to ETH, till it to became expensive.
Lightning network is more suitable than on chain transactions but solana and dedicated chains still rule really.
Still today gamers mostly reject bitcoin as a scam and of course app stores don't allow payments outside their own system. So things remain tricky.

The month of December will typical put a dent in your paycheck, or January if you're using your credit cards, so it's tough to save any money. Canadians rank 21st worldwide with regards to how much of our salary we put into a savings account. According to World Population Review, we put away approximately 7% of our paycheck for a #RainyDay, far behind South Korea at 35%. I'm retired and therefore not a saver at this point, but even during my most successful earnings period I can't imagine I would have been able to put away a third of my salary.
I suspect the savings percentage is driven by a small group of high wage earners as individual Canadian debt has increased. According to Equifax, total consumer debt in Canada reached $2.56 trillion at the end of 2024, a 4.6 per cent increase over 2023.

Habe natürlich mit NEIN geantwortet und im Kommentar geschrieben, dass Gesetze aus der NS-Zeit generell überdacht und überarbeitet gehören, dass es nicht sein kann, dass Schwarzfahren so hart bestraft wird, aber das Zuparken von Gehwegen, öffentlichem Raum und verkehrssicherheitsrelevanten Stellen durch Kfz sogar sehr oft geduldet, also der Verlust von Barrierearmut und Menschenleben ganz konkret in Kauf genommen wird. Und dass dieses Gesetz lediglich eine Repressalie vor allem gegen den ärmeren Teil der Bevölkerung ist (was natürlich Sinn macht bei einem Gesetz, das von Nazis erlassen wurde) und überhaupt nicht nötig wäre, wenn mit einem verhältnismäßig geringen Anteil an den derzeitigen klimazerstörenden Subventionen des (vor allem hoch-) motorisierten Individualverkehrs der #ÖP_N_V ausgestattet und dadurch komplett kostenlos von allen genutzt werden könnte.
Letzten Endes bedeutet #Klimaschutz auch #Armutsbekämpfung und das #Umschichten von 'oben' nach 'unten'. Zu letzterem gehört auch, die (klimafreundliche) Mobilität komplett aus der Finanzbelastung der Menschen zu nehmen, die ohnehin schon jeden Cent zweimal umdrehen müssen.
An dieser Stelle ein Shoutout an @… , die wegen Fahrens ohne gültigen Fahrausweis ("Erschleichen von Leistungen") verurteilte "Straftäter*innen" aus dem Knast freikaufen.
