Investigating the Ceph / 40G stuff a bit more.
Iperf3 from my workstation to cluster node 3 (the first one I put the connectx in) gets 24.7 Gbps with 13.7K retries with workstation sending to the node, and only 13.5 with 57948 in the reverse direction.
I'm beginning to wonder if PCIe bandwidth is part of the issue.

Put a second 40g nic in the cluster and performance went *down*. Not sure if due to bad load balancing or if I have hardware issues of some sort.
Gonna run some iperf checks so I can validate the network independently of Ceph.

So irgendwo im Grenzbereich zu ADHS & Co. zu leben kann manchmal echt anstrengend sein.
Mein Hirn in der Mittagspause: "Los, stell deinen Proxmox-Cluster auf Ceph um!"
Der Verstand: "Bringe doch erstmal die Migration auf Seafile zu Ende!"
Also bin ich in den Garten gegangen und habe das Beet mit Kartoffeln und Zwiebeln bepflanzt.
Jetzt koche ich noch Mittag und stelle fest, dass ich die Label für das Beet vergessen habe.

Got a 3 node ProxMox cluster and PegaProx running on some old hardware at work. Its very nice, better than I had hoped even. Even with the Ceph storage so its like a tiny hyperconverged.
