This article establishes cutoff convergence or abrupt convergence of three statistical quantities for multivariate (Hurwitz) stable geometric Brownian motion: the autocorrelation function, the Wasserstein distance between the current state and its degenerate limiting measure, and, finally, anti-concentration probabilities, which yield a fine-tuned trade-off between almost sure rates and the respective integrability of the random modulus of convergence using a quantitative Borel--Cantelli Lemma.…

Contemplating my life choices.

A 10-story skyscraper built in open-source Minecraft clone "Luanti". There's lots of glass and lights in it. The ground floor has brown carpets, 3d floor – red. There are some glass domes on the top of the building.

Me too. 50 years ago roughly now (not sure of the exact day, but it was early 1975) I first used Unix (v5) in the Computer Research Facility (CRF) at the University of Toronto's Dynamic Graphics Project (DGP), which shared the PDP-11/45. DGP got the machine from 5PM to 8AM and the whole weekend. I spent countless nights in the lab.
Thanks to DGP head Ron Baecker for seeing something in me.
