In the 8 hours we've been childless so far, I have: Played videogames, done some house chores I've put off for weeks, written a basic React webapp, learned about a new technology (Knative), inventoried our freezer, watched a movie, and taken a bath.
That's more than I get done in a week, easily.
The power has been unleashed.

Hopefully, it's more of a midlife incident than a crisis, but this weekend I dumpster dived for 1,587 pounds of photovoltaics. Feeling a little sore. I hope 7.6W/lb isn't a bad deal. I'm still dismayed that the school district is just throwing them out.

The site, which focused on civic issues like housing and street safety, gave many young San Francisco journalists their start in the industry.

Children know what we forget, they ask each other "Do you want to play? Can I have a turn? Will you be my friend?"
Perhaps the most mature people are those who remember to be childlike and to see the person before their labels, to become curious before becoming certain, and to leave room for people to surprise you.
Maybe people could be less cruel if they didn't begin every encounter with fear, distrust, and anger.
