I moved to San Francisco in the late 80's and we had an excellent local pharmacy. But they closed - and we moved to another excellent pharmacy. It closed. Why? cost of doing business with multiple insurance companies. Yet they both provided customers with MUCH better service than the big chains I had to move to.
Which is why I am happy to see Sen Wiener moving this legislation along:
