once again very intrigued by oshino dead, the annual grateful dead cover band fest in japan next weekend, this year including a one-two punch of dr. acid seven (who hung with the dead in the haight & was the 1st to bring LSD to japan, per one source) & an act called Lstones (a ned lagin tribute?!) #deadfreaksunite

I wouldn't used to post about such activities, because obviously it can come across a certain way - but I stumbled on these old photos of a Grace Jones gig setup - and thought maybe people would find it interesting.
The idea was to do a one-off very different sound, and we stripped down some of her classics. My "station" is in the first photo, her son played percussion, Dave Okumu guitar, and Ivor handled the bass (see Moog lol) and was also triggering other samples.

Къщата беше от старите, не точно кооперация като повечето сгради на улицата, а по-скоро от следвъзрожденския тип, на замогналия се търговец, попрекалил с амбициите да си построи къща на гърба на Раковска, но на два етажа, с по два апартамента на всеки от тях – хем за отдаване под наем, хем за да има къде да живее домочадието.
Сто и нещо години по-късно домочадието се състоеше от пръснати по широкия свят наследници, които колективно отдаваха…
