From the Lounge tent at #emf2026, Cobra and Viper ships from the original BBC Micro version of #Elite. With an original screenshot for comparison so you know what I'm talking about.

Two model spacecraft hang from a tent ceiling. They are made of a black material with white LED piping to outline the polygon edges, thereby giving a wire frame effect
image/pngA low resolution computer display, with "ELITE" at the top, a wire-frame spaceship, and the text "Load New Commander (Y/N)? (C) Acornsoft 1984". The lower quarter of the screen has flight instruments and a 3d radar display.

A bit of advice to Mark Rutte and others, from the former commander of the US Armed Forces in Europe.

Picture of Hodges with quote:

Trump has ceded Europe to Russia.
Hold us accountable.
Don't roll over.
Stop flattering the
president, treating
him like royalty, or
giving in.

Dear #orgmode community: I once read about a method to "embed" content from a different heading so that I don't have to duplicate content.
E.g., when I want to include/preview/embed two paragraphs from a particular heading somewhere else in my Org hierarchy. Maybe even in a different Orgdown file? 🤔
Unfortunately, I didn't add this package to my notes. Do you have an id…

Interviewed for this "Spotlight on America" story about data center pushback, I said towns should compare what they're promised with the actual effects reported by communities that have had to live with these things mynbc15.com/news/s…

Graphic stating that 14% of Americans would support a data center being built in their community, with a Reuters/Ipsos poll citation and a small interview inset.

Didn't know CrowdSec until recently, but I'm quite impressed. Thought I'd share: I'm protecting my Jellyfin and audiobookshelf via nginx logs for a few days now and it's very promising, especially the proactive blocking via the global community list.
Now looking for a nice GUI (alerts/stats/unbanning) since the official panel's pricing isn't for home users. Please only recommend tools you've actually used (I know how to Kagi 😊!).

Screenshot of a CrowdSec web dashboard titled "«firewall-unraid» metrics". It displays a table showing traffic data for the past 7 days, categorized by origin.

The table lists three sources: "Free proxies list" (15.2 MB, 266k packets), "Community Blocklist (CAPI)" (372.6 KB, 6.36k packets), and "Manual Decisions (cscli)" (720 Bytes, 12 packets). The totals row at the bottom indicates that 15.6 MB and 272k packets were blocked, out of a total 409 GB and 120 million packets processed.
