OK, if I have an environment pointer *in the stack frame*, then not only does it greatly simplify the #Lisp calling convention, it also means that the evaluation time environment is captured in any stack trace and can be inspected in any break.
Downside: it's one more inc_ref/dec_ref for every function call, which is a performance hit.

I could do without the US scholarly convention (at least in history) of listing every publication that ever addressed a given question, even in passing. The pretense of complete coverage is exhausting and absurd. It would be so much more helpful if authors referred instead only to the works that were essential and let those of us who are so inclined dig for more.

My old state just realized I left 2.5 years ago. (Yes, I did the change of address, closed things out, and registered to vote in my new home state.)
I'm quite fond of the issue between the fifth option and the signature it requires, plus the fact that (aside from the zip code and other USPS requirements) this could have looked identical a hundred years ago. No website, email, or phone number. Also note the old convention of two spaces following each period.

Doug Ford muses about another multi-billion dollar project that no one asked for. He suggested filling in part of Lake Ontario to build a brand new $2B convention centre near his mega-spa, formerly Ontario Place. I'm not sure if he's desperate to drive as much foot traffic as possible to the spa which is pretty much guaranteed to lose money. That's why the condemned Science Centre, with the very unsafe roof that didn't collapse after record snowfall this winter, is being moved to the mega-spa location. School buses can soon drop off kids at the new Science Centre, and the bus driver and teachers can get a facial.
There is a potential upside to this latest Ford fever dream. Lake Ontario is one of the deepest of the Great Lakes, meaning a lot of fill will be needed. But there's a proposal for a tunnel under Highway 401 and all that dirt has to go somewhere.
