The current "bike to work" carry is a milk crate zip tied to a rear rack. I gave it a nice paint job and did a little cutout right behind the seat. There's a piece of foam in the bottom to prevent rattling (I toss my lock back there) and the bungee holds my backpack in place securely.

A cord on the hood of my (~4-year-old) #JackWolfskin jacket has broken. I went to the store today to see if they could repair it; I would also buy a new hood if necessary.
“No, we'll repair it—it won't cost you anything, even though it's outside the warranty period. Our aim is to throw away as little as possible. But please give us 2-3 weeks.”
Um - okay. Thanks!

added the single twist cord style, which is what I was aiming for. Saw this at other basket makers, will add to my baskets. #openscad #3dprinting

The company you work for spends millions on cybersecurity. You set up protocols, firewalls, preventive measures... And then the new girl in the office writes down her work passwords on a sticky note stuck to her laptop.
If I were an IT security professional, I'd be in jail by now after strangling someone like that girl with a power cord.
One reason I cord- and gear-hoard to some degree is that my father in law lives down the street, and sometimes he calls me outta nowhere and is like 'we're moving our furniture around and broke the DSL cable, do you have one of those?' And even though I don't use DSL anymore and haven't for years, I absolutely still have several of those.
I kinda want one of these so that I can do my morning conference calls while walking around the neighborhood with this cord going into my hoodie or bag. Shame my work phone is still on a lightning connector!

I spent a relaxing afternoon rewiring our light fixture for the dining room that was not yet installed after our move. Our new dining room is over 2 feet taller, which necessitated a new longer lamp cord and chain. Tomorrow, I might hang it... or I might not. Gotta pace myself.

First test of the pump! Just turned the first pump on to make sure everything works. The regulator works! 100% power seems to draw about 160W. 50% was around 70W. Can't take a reliable picture of the display unfortunately.
I will have to cut the main wire and extend it with a good extension cord so it can reach where I need it to. At least to the little grey shed for now. The controller has to stay dry and in reasonable temperatures.
Not really looking forward to that job. I have cut/spliced/shrinkwrapped wire before but not on a $600 pump. 😬
Today though I will concentrate on hooking up the pipe to the filter to set up a circulation and figure out a temporary situation for the pump controller.
edit: btw the pumps are both Jecod 20,000L/hr varieties. I am hoping (and calculated) that they are oversized so I can run them at 50-75% most of the time.
