Vancouver: “low on culture and history”?
A recent poll from a “respected firm” ranked Vancouver, B.C. lower than Seattle in a survey of how tourists feel about cities. According to a Vancouver Sun article by Douglas Todd, Vancouver ranked a “surprising” 70th out of 191 cities whereas Seattle ranked 32nd. Topping the list were Paris and Osaka.

Das Wochenende haben wir mit einem Städteausflug nach Marburg verbracht. Und weil wir in Frankfurt ein bisschen Zeit hatten, sind wir da noch Wolkenkratzer gucken gegangen (und haben einen Blick vom Maintower auf die Stadt geworfen). Irgendwo zwischen "Cities: Skylines" und Metropolengefühl.

Škoda že cestovat vlakem je dneska snad dražší než autem. Nepočítal jsem to, ale tak nějak intuitivně mi to tak připadš. Ano, ve vlaku je víc pohodlí (neřídím, trošku víc prostoru...), ale se vším tím dostšvšním se na start a z cíle, přestupy, zpožděními... se to myslím dost vyrovnšvš. #vlakem #cestovani

Eu tenho duas edições de "O Retrato de Dorian Gray", ambas traduções do original para o português. E nenhuma delas traduz as expressões e trechos em francês que aparecem frequentemente no decorrer do livro. Tem um momento em que o livro transcreve doze linhas de um poema em francês e você fica simplesmente sem entender o que estš sendo dito. Custava incluir uma nota de rodapé?!
O trabalho de tradução é importante demais, mas tem muita gente por aí fazendo um trabalho porco. 😞
