I was looking for my dishwasher manual. I noticed next to the manual, a link that said "Free Open Source Software". Curious, I clicked on it, and it's a long list of licenses and copyright information that is used in the dishwasher. Ctrl-F, and sure enough - my name's on the list.
I feel like I should have gotten a discount on the dishwasher, or at the very least access to its firmware source code! đź¤

Our Christmas tree didn't drink water this year. It's been pretty much dead for the past 2 weeks. Every time you get near it, needles fall off. It's been quite a mess.
Today was the day it came down. I really wasn't looking forward to having to pick needles out of everything we own between the living room and the door for the next year, so… I went Full Dexter on it. (And it actually worked.)

Several months ago, I thought I'd be clever and get ahead of the curve by ordering a little buck converter from China so I could drive my LED Christmas lights from a constant 31VDC source and get rid of the stupid factory supply that requires 7 button presses each time it's powered up to simply light the string steadily rather than flashing in the most irritating, seizure-inducing way humanly imaginable.

My indoor running track going forward, as I don't intend to run outside in the winter anymore. I won't post the stats yet; I need a foot pod to better track distance and laps (or just click my Garmin a ton, haha). Even though it's a small track, I like it better than the treadmill. #runnersofmastodon
