Democratic leaders were outspoken during the massive US military buildup in the Middle East,
⭐️decrying his unwillingness to engage with Congress and lack of long-term strategy for Iran.
🔸They noted that it was Trump, during his first term, who shredded Barack Obama’s nuclear agreement with Iran.
Once the US and Israeli military struck on Saturday, the sharpest voices accused the president of riding roughshod over the constitution.

“So you have TikTok just smashing our young people’s brains all day long with video of carnage in Gaza … And this is why so many of us can’t have a sane conversation with younger Jews because anything that we try to say to them, they are hearing it through this wall of carnage. So I want to give data and information and facts and arguments and they are just seeing in their minds carnage and I sound obscene.”

@… I left the Democrats during the Clinton administration, when I saw Democrats not admitting Clinton's wrongdoing. I haven't regretted it. Schumer is horrible.
Seven Republicans joined every Democratic senator last night in voting no for Federal funding bill during a test vote. They need 60 votes to push the funding package through, and only got 45. This is significant.
That said, all of the seven denied that it had anything to do with ICE, with a couple of them making strong statements that they support the agency and mass deportations. So they are still trying to appease both sides. That's some really cowardly shit.

From where I was sitting Wednesday, it looked like
the attorney general pretty much dared the House Democrats to impeach her.
Here’s how the New York Daily News put it, summarizing the AP’s coverage of her testimony before the House Judiciary Committee:
"Attorney General Pam Bondi launched into a passionate defense of President Donald Trump Wednesday
as she tried to turn the page from relentless criticism of the Justice Department’s handling of the Jeffrey Epste…
Clearly, Pam Bondi's performance was strategic.
It was part of her goal of deflecting attention away from Trump and the fact that his name appears more than a million times in files related to Jeffrey Epstein that were released by the Department of Justice, according to Raskin.
She beclowned herself and perhaps it worked.
Most headlines were a variation of the Daily News’: “Bondi shouts down Democrats in hearing on Epstein files release delays.”
At one point, t…
The chief federal judge in Minnesota ordered the head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement to appear in court on Friday

The order by Judge Patrick J. Schiltz

— adds to the administration’s legal fights

Progressive lawmakers are demanding that the Democrats use the upcoming government funding deadline to reduce DHS’s ability to wreak further havoc.
“I just don’t understand how we provide votes for a bill that funds the extent of the depravity,”
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) told CNN Thursday.

We continue to look at Wednesday’s contentious hearing of the House Judiciary Committee,
we spoke with Vermont Congressmember Becca Balint,
who walked out after Attorney General Pam Bondi accused her of supporting antisemitism.
Balint, who is Jewish and whose grandfather died in the Holocaust, had just asked Bondi to meet with survivors of Jeffrey Epstein
— a demand that Bondi repeatedly ignored during the hearing.
“It was just heartbreaking to watch the attorne…
