Please share: If anyone has a spare few minutes to help out the EFF, want to jump in and help me finish up pasting in the short description for HTTP response codes in the Google Sheet below? We're using the MDN documentation (#defcon 🙂

Indeed, if you are doing things that are likely to lead to legal demands from law enforcement to your email provider that you want them to fight, you had best be your own email provider.
Proton, Tutanota, MS, Yahoo, Google, Apple, GMX, Fastmail, et al will not fight a valid legal demand for your data that they can fulfill.
Intrinsically, email security is extremely difficult. There's a reason Signal does not do email.

@0x539@defcon.social the newer PQC stuff is not yet standardized for OpenPGP. For example, just recently the OpenPGP working group at IETF was discussing which algorithms should be chosen for the standard specification.

Please try Session, SimpleX, or Threema before deciding to stay with Signal (or WhatsApp).
They do a lot of things well, but when deciding things like this that could greatly improve the user experience I've found the Signal developers / leadership are not making good decisions.

what if we did this... and we were both girls? 👭

Ok (5:00), we need to talk about Operation Paul Bunyan: Also known as the "Korean axe murder incident," the deaths of the two American soldiers at the hands of the North Koreans sparked an overwhelming show of force by U.S. Forces.

The entire contingent of the American armed forces in South Korea moved to DEFCON 3. A convoy of 23 American and South Korean armored vehicles drove into the area where the tree was to be cut down. They were accompanied by two 30-man infantry platoons, and a 64-man…

First successful-ish prototype done. Holy crap, I want to find anyone who made a DEFCON badge and shake their hands because this has been difficult. However, still need to get the LEDs that were swept off the PCB back *on* to the PCB, then solder the header on so I can begin testing. #electronics

A green PCB titled "Red Team Prototype Version 0.1" will a 9x39 column of LEDs on the left-hand side. In the middle of the bottom is a small square IC that controls the LEDs. On the bottom-right is a place for a header to control the LEDs. All of the components except for the IC and header are 1.0mm by 0.5mm and _evil_. The PCB is 2.5" wide and 3.5" tall.

Just here waiting for the Defcon panel/United Nations General Assemby convening of Mastodon instance owners explaining how they conduct international cyber diplomacy in times of crisis.
Bloody hell; I think I might convene that one myself for my own damn entertainment.

Ok, folks: do I know a graphic designer with nerd cred who'd like to design the @… swag deck of cards for this year's benefit poker tournament? the vote was to have it be HTTP response codes on the cards. Some pay available. #defcon #eff #poker #charity #graphicdesign #jobs
Edit: a good filter to make sure the right people are seeing this is: do you think that the joker being 418 is really funny? if you do, you get the humor needed. If you do not, you're probably not the right person.
