safe voyages to chiyo kamekawa, bassist for japanese underground legends yura yura teikoku, who passed away this week. yura yura, who broke up in 2010, were kinda like the japanese equivalent of (& friends with) yo la tengo. i'm still exploring their vast, diverse discography, working backwards from 2007's "hollow me." so glad i got to see them on their late career US tours.

I learned that Disney recently started streaming Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour (which turned out to be a longer cut than the theatrical version) and decided to watch it to see what all the hype is about. Also because I *do* enjoy several of her songs but am not well-versed with her discography. So I thought that a concert with songs from all her albums seemed like an excellent sampler.
