On March 9th I’m helping launch AI Foundations for Educators, a 5-week online course that goes beyond workshop-level knowledge to guide teachers and school staff in developing a personalized framework for adapting classrooms to AI.
It’s a pilot module for a planned online certificate on generative AI; would count as credit toward that graduate credential. Open to anyone with a BA.

A breakthrough for solar durability: UNSW researchers discovered that thicker aluminum oxide layers protect TOPCon solar cells from UV damage by blocking hydrogen migration.
The culprit? High-energy UV photons break chemical bonds, releasing hydrogen that degrades performance. But 7nm AlOx layers act as an effective barrier.

UNSW researchers developed an experimentally validated model linking UV-induced degradation in TOPCon solar cells to hydrogen transport, charge trapping, and permanent structural changes in the passivation stack. They show that thicker aluminum oxide layers significantly improve UV resilience by limiting hydrogen migration, offering clear guidance for more robust TOPCon designs.

i make it with lots of different veg, onion celery carrot peppers tomato garlic, so it’s very colourful
this time i added red lentils as well as green lentils to the soup which made it a bit thicker and much more filling
i wonder how quickly it will disappear this time :-)
