Teste gerade #phanpy als Mastodon Client. Ziemlich beeindruckend, wie man eine UX so konstruieren kann, dass sie erwünschtes Verhalten fördert und Dysfunktionalitäten minimiert. Beispiele:
- Boosts werden nachrangiger behandelt und markiert, ohne sie ganz auszublenden.
- Ein Seitenformat reduziert doom scrolling.
- Standardfeeds können ausgeblendet werden.

While the PM thinks (wrongly) that household bills will go down as a result of this somehow. And that he'll change tax laws to make that so?
They both agree it's brilliant to drill for more fossil fuels because if we do it in Europe then we don't have to buy it from Russia.
They both think (wrongly) that it increases energy security to drill more oil and sell it on the global markets.

One of my friends has really drowned in the doomerverse. With two young kids, I worry for both him and the children. Honestly if you believe in this you should be living somewhere off grid in Alaska, raising your own food. If you aren’t doing that, the cognitive dissonance must be crippling. Not sure I can pretend much anymore.

I play team based online games & it’s amazing how many people, 30 seconds into 15 minute match, go “gg” - meaning “game over, we already lost”
Doomers are that person.
I’ve seen some amazing “come from behind“ wins.
