I was tepid on LitRPG as a genre, but I really enjoyed this one. First book in a long series, but I finished wanting more.

@tiotasram@kolektiva.socialJust finished "Seven Little Sons of the Dragon" by Ryoko Kui. As expected from the author of "Delicious in Dungeon", an excellent collection of short stories that are whimsical, profound, hilarious, and beautiful. Kui's characters even in the short form always have a little extra twist beyond what you'd expect. I think my favorite of these was the story about mermaids, both for its ambiguous depth and for the hilarious "Lone Wolf and Cub" shout-out.

I mentioned in my last post that I'd started to play Oracle of Ages again, and I'm still working my way through it. It seems to be taking an absolute ... er, age ... even though it's very clearly signposted throughout. As soon as you finish a dungeon, the Deku Tree pipes up to tell you where to go next. The thing is, it all seems very familiar.

@CondeChocula@social.linux.pizzaPast in time, a lot of people (I'm include too) said "Dark Souls" is difficult that is not they can't try "Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup". It is stupidity harder than that. One bad step or action and the Death come to you quickly and your progress is over forever.
