I was tepid on LitRPG as a genre, but I really enjoyed this one. First book in a long series, but I finished wanting more.

As expected from the author of "Delicious in Dungeon", an excellent collection of short stories that are whimsical, profound, hilarious, and beautiful. Kui's characters even in the short form always have a little extra twist beyond what you'd expect. I think my favorite of these was the story about mermaids, both for its ambiguous depth and for the hilarious "Lone Wolf and Cub" shout-out.

I mentioned in my last post that I'd started to play Oracle of Ages again, and I'm still working my way through it. It seems to be taking an absolute ... er, age ... even though it's very clearly signposted throughout. As soon as you finish a dungeon, the Deku Tree pipes up to tell you where to go next. The thing is, it all seems very familiar.

Book two of Dungeon Crawler Carl picks up right where the first left off: Carl, Donut, and Mordecai grinding through the Over City, with a murder mystery woven into the escalating levels.
Still funny and chaotic, but Carl, Donut, and Mordecai feel more like a cohesive team, rather than individuals grouped together.

As I started thinking about what to read next, I thought I might go back and finish series that I never completed. I try to only read book series whose story is concluded. But occasionally I can't resist like Dungeon Crawler Carl. But I'm so bad at waiting.
So thought this might be a good use case for my local AI. I downloaded by reading history from #BookWyrm and asked it to find all the series that had concluded, but I never finished. And it worked great.
