I got so excited about a device I am building that I started designing the enclosure before I even wired up the circuit to see if it's something I want to use.
To be fair this is my enclosure library so 90% of the work is already done and it's just making a few adjustments.
I guess I figure I'll build the device and then test it... if I don't like it or use it I'll find some else it can do. (Or see if others want one.)

Time to put the newly rewritten server into action. Broke out my totally stock firmware LG WH16NS60 drive, and started in on some Bluray TV episode sets. Currently ripping at ~9.2X which definitely helps out.
Think I'm gonna target AV1 via `av1an` and use the `svt-av1-psyex` encoder. Already have the subtitles and attachments though I'll have to offset the subs by 1000ms for everything to work out.

After a few iterations of 3d printed prototyping I have an external enclosure for my ThunderScope PCIe prototype to enable future testing without being too dangerously exposed to shorts from random tools and cables on the bench.
And to more firmly secure the card in the slot so it doesn't wobble around when I'm mating and unmating cables.
