De waterafvoer in de Rijn bij Lobith, het Gelderse meetpunt van Rijkswaterstaat, is gedaald naar het laagste niveau in een junimaand sinds 1976. Dinsdagochtend om 11.10 uur stroomde er 797,9 kubieke meter water per seconde door de Rijn via Duitsland Nederland binnen. Dat blijkt uit meetgegevens van Rijkswaterstaat. Alleen in 1976 was de waterafvoer zo laag dat die onder de 800 kubieke meter kwam.

Don’t fix the problem.
Paint over it.
To me, that’s Trump’s entire governing philosophy.
Debt exploding? Tell everyone you're bringing in trillions of dollars.
Prices rising? Tell everyone inflation is defeated.
Farmers struggling? Hold a photo-op and declare they’re thriving.
A war spiraling out of control?
Announce everything is going great.
Just paint over it.
Just tell people it’s fixed.
But reality eventually wins.
