I still haven't worked out what an X5 multiplier is, so I skipped onto the next set of challenges and got bronzes and silvers on them all, but still didn't unlock the one-on-one challenge. I have a feeling that the career of this game is going to be easier to complete by unlocking as much as possible, replaying events to gain more fans, unlocking faster and better cars, and going back to previous events to unlock the bosses.

@samvarma@fosstodon.orgSo this was *very* good. Self-contained prequel to Friday the 13th, i.e. Jason's origin story. Tense, gory and a bit melodramatic, but top shelf if #horror is your jam.
And they did a spectacular job with the production design and the costumes, bringing 1972 to life extremely well. Lots of era-appropriate cultural references.
Kind of a special, unique vibe.

If you want a take-home message from these events: When there are security updates, install them. Also, this is hardly news and was already the case before the age of AI-discovered vulnerabilities.
@laimis@mstdn.socialI needed a push delivery of some 3rd party service events that service itself didn't provide. I could get the info with polling but it would be very inefficient. It turns out the same 3rd party publishes the notifications I needed to their discord server. So what do you do? Join their discord. Build a custom version of vencord with custom plugin that intercepts discord messages. And then pings my service that needs the info. It's so stupid but sometimes you just have to roll...

For a film about Putin (told from his advisor's point of view), you learn almost nothing about his motivations / mentality. But I did learn that events I had separated in my mind occurred at nearly the same time (Putin turning to politics/Russian apartment bombings 1 month later) (Sochi Olympics/'little green men' invasion of Ukraine).
There are a number of interesting one liners/points of view from all of the protagonists and some nostalgic (for me) nightclub scenes.
The costume, hair and makeup departments were excellent, btw, with exactly the right bad haircuts. Alexander Zaldostanov and Igor Sechin looked especially convincing, Putin was also surprisingly true-to-life.
