Building on evidence of structural parallels between brain networks and the cosmic web [1], we apply AI-based geometric analysis to cultured neuronal networks. Isolated neurons self-organize into dendritic lattices shaped by reproducible wiring rules. I remember being frustrated at CV how we added features that didn't work together. Or conflicted (eg. encourage moving fast when we wanted you to be thoughtful). We later hired a design director who insisted "everything needs a purpose" and coached our designers into making much better use of our schedule. I remember overhearing a conversation that built so much faith in the direction: "Of course it's cool. Every feature we add will be cool, but that's not enough reason to add it to the game."
