Meta is considering adding face recognition technology to its smart glasses.
According to an internal Meta document,

Wow. I just received an announcement by #Draft2Digital that they are going to introduce activation fees of $20 for new accounts and charge everyone(!) who doesn't make more than $100 / year a $12 fee.
I kinda get the activation fee as a hurdle to AI slop but if you generate 1000 books in an hour you are much more likely to hit the $100 threshold than someone like me who can only …

As an anarchist, in the face of current political realities, I sometimes console myself* with the thought that:
1. If humanity has the potential to build an anarchist society, it will prevail for a much longer period of history than the current terminally-unstable configurations.
2. If not, extinction, and my opponents will still be just a blip in the span of history.
*This may or may not be a consoling thought for you.
