Fears are growing that the Iran war shows no signs of ending soon.
The US is sending three more warships and thousands of marines to the Middle East, according to US media reports.
It comes after Trump has insisted he will not put boots on the ground in Iran.
Roughly 2,200 to 2,500 Marines from the California-based USS Boxer amphibious ready group and 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit are heading to the US Central Command area of responsibility, Reuters and the WSJ reported.

Funnily, in light of what this piece says, I never doubted that resistance would be fierce Ukraine would make Russia pay. How could it not? Ukraine has the heroes of the Maidan, and a lived experience of what Russian occupation means. How could UK/US doubt they'd fight to the last?
