Good Morning #Canada
In November of 1991, the last burning oil well in Kuwait was extinguished by the Canadian Calgary based firm Safety Boss. Safety Boss put out 180 of approximately 700 oil-well fires lit by Saddam Hussein’s troops as they evacuated occupied Kuwait and ran from coalition forces during the 43-day war to liberate the petroleum-rich country. Safety Boss was one of the original four firms dispatched to battle one of the century’s worst environmental disasters and were treated as inferior resources by the 3 other Texas based firms that were put in charge of the crisis. Canadian mobility and innovation proved to be more valuable to Kuwait in dealing with the burning oil wells.

The White House has apparently decided that some of the administration’s DOGE-directed firings were a mistake.
The National Weather Service has received permission to hire hundreds of employees, CNN reported Tuesday.
That includes 450 meteorologists, hydrologists, and radar technicians to replace the ones that were let go from the agency at the behest of former DOGE chief Elon Musk.
