Our town only buys/sells things on Marketplace. I don’t want to keep bugging my spouse every time I need to sell something (which isn't very often thankfully) or want to look for some random used thing.
The final straw was having to sell our son's car now that he has moved away.
My punishment: even though I pinned a post on my FB profile saying I am only using it for Marketplace and won't be accepting any Friend requests and that everyone should definitely check out the Free and Open web at socialbc.ca… now I am getting friend requests and feel slightly guilty.
I don't want to confirm them, obviously, but also don't want to delete them because that seems rude.

Today I'll show you the last one of our cats: say hello to Kasimir. He was also homeless, found by my brother 12 years ago. He moved together with us, when we relocated from Bavaria to the north-eastern corner of Germany in December 2023. Living alone with us for 10 years, it took a while until he became friend with the stray cats family.

When Mei went missing, I thought, “omg, is this a tragedy? I think this story is a tragedy!” The whole time they were looking for her, I was absolutely terrified. I thought for sure they’d found her sandal. I still tear up when they find her now, on every rewatching.
I’m so glad for that first viewing. It’s a much better movie that way. When you’re expecting an innocent movie about cute forest plushies, you see that. I said that it literally is made up of friends. And there aren't any enforced "rules" it's all voluntary.
I then got frustrated and asked why she thought it was appropriate to involve herself in private conversation that happened outside of school and campus, and left.
