Well my friends, I hate to ask but I'm currently struggling to keep a bank from taking my elderly, cancer-surviving mother's house, while she takes care of my even more elderly stepdad with terminal cancer. Neither of them can work, and their pensions are both very small, so I've been doing what I can to help them make up a difference of about 1,000 dollars a month in their budget - all of which is spent on rent, groceries, or medical supplies for my sick stepdad.
