Added a "free play area" to the otherwise unused space in the corner of the ReworkCTF board. Just a bunch of fine pitch traces on various layers, some 0402 footprints, and some vias - not wired to anything else, just a playground for circuit edit practice.

While it is fun having the progress shown as 3500 / 13488 with The Complete Wheel of Time ebook, I wanted to enjoy the individual covers as well.
Luckily Calibre with the epub-split plugin made that rather painless, just some metadata adjustments.
Also kudos to TOR publishing for intentionally providing a DRM-free epub, making this possible (without having to remove it beforehand)

I probably won't post so much Radeon content on YouTube if the upcoming AMD drivers won't support some kind of FSR 4 on previous gen graphics cards. For one, the WTF AMD video of GamersNexus hit me harder than I initially thought. I decided it would be "fun" to install Koffan, the cool little shopping list app on my k3s cluster.
I created a manifest for flux and tested it on a placeholder hostname. Then I decided I should move it to an internal subdomain--and switch to using a wildcard certificate to minimize letsencrypt request for internal things. This meant I needed to install reflector to copy the wildcard cert to all the namespaces.

One of those things about claims of “AGI” is that to really build a human-like intelligence we’d have to simulate a human brain as whole because 1. it’s the only thing we know that produces human intelligence and 2. no one knows how it actually works.
Because of (2) it’s irrelevant what anyone says about LLMs or any other technology (with the exception of simulating a whole brain)—you can’t know if a technology is intelligent like a human because we don’t know what that means or how that works.
Fun thing, it turns out it’s impossible to simulate a whole brain with the resolution required (basically quantum physics level), and you’d have to emulate a chemical and physical environment for the brain as well (it will also need a body etc.).
You’d also have to simulate other humans with brains from which the brain can learn; but to simulate those you’d have simulate evolving humans from single-cell organisms first etc etc ad infinitum
