Yay! Yesterday I gave a (remote) talk at the Narrating Futures Symposium at the University of Bristol (UK) run by Cecilia Thirlway and Elise Kraatila. I spoke about how narrative is used for social change in activism, governments, business, and entertainment & the arts of course. How the common notion of the dramatic arc tells a story of change that is tethered to an undesirable present. I offered 2 narrative design tools that open up possibilities rather than closing them down.
